Why and How ECO – Bio cosmetics is born
In the sector of biological cosmetics, there is not, at this time a specific norm or a code which is worldwide or EU wide adopted. This is why some products claim features that are not clear nor verified and that generically say to adhere to an unspecified generic cosmetics concept.
In order to contribute to bring order and coherence to the sector the Italian Association for Biological Agriculture (AIAB) and the Institute for Ethic and Environment Certification (ICEA), in collaboration with a group of producers intending to start Eco-Bio cosmetics, have begun a process that has seen the implementation of a unified code for bio – ecologic cosmetics. The bio cosmetics that ICEA certifies on the basis of the AIAB code, comply with the expectations of consumers for a healthy, safe product with a low environmental impact and a complete and transparent information on Eco – Bio cosmetics.
In compliance with this code, the “PURE” line of creams has been created that, certified by AIAB-ICEA, that do not employ banned substances and materials which have a low skin-compatibility, are toxic or synthetic, or produce undesirable effects on the public.
In fact the “PURE” line eco-bio cosmetics by MDS inserts itself in the well tested context of the major conventional cosmetics producers, integrating the already vast range of products dedicated to anti-ageing skin-care.
In the production process OGM are not employed and as in the cohesive agents wheat flour in not being used, these crèmes are particularly well suited for the prevention of vaginal mucus damage.
Since ICEA bans the use of ionized radiation of the finished product and therefore the use of ingredients that have an antibacterial function, in the creams of the “PURE” line these treatments are not employed. Moreover, as it is policy of “PURE” to follow the “cruelty free” standards its products are not animal-tested.

The entire “PURE” line has been conceived by exploiting primary agricultural products grown from biologic agriculture, allowing the use of low environment impact products that can safeguard the consumers health, as well as fulfil his expectations with a correct, transparent definition of Eco-Bio Cosmetics.
